Our people have made a commitment to making a difference in developing world communities. MSI provides opportunities for professionals with a broad range of technical expertise, experience and professional backgrounds. Our staff member experience ranges from recent graduates to seasoned professionals with over 40 years of field experience.
Our technical directors and senior staff are the backbone of MSI and are responsible for managing MSI’s current projects, serving as the technical writers for new proposals and providing technical assistance to MSI’s projects and clients in the field. For brief biographies of our senior and technical staff please click here.
Our project managers are junior-mid level professionals, and each project manager makes an invaluable daily contribution to the success of their projects. Many come to MSI from international development masters programs or from other development organizations. Our project managers perform a wide scope of duties ranging from budget monitoring, proposal development and consultant recruitment. They work with our clients and field teams to ensure that projects meet all expectations.
MSI also has a strong group of business development, recruitment, contracts, finance and IT staff who play a significant role in the acquisition and implementation of MSI’s programs. The majority of these professionals come to MSI from other international development companies, though some are junior professionals or recent grads.
Many of our project management staff members join our team through the internship program. This program is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the field of international development and learn the skills you’ll need to backstop, and eventually manage, programs in the field. By being paired with different project managers, interns are able to explore different project management techniques as well as gain exposure to various regions of the world.
