MSI Technical Focus

Security & Justice

MSI has substantial experience in the Security and Justice area, having served as a subcontractor on the previous Rule of Law Indefinite Quantity contract; and implemented programs worldwide in the following areas:
  • legal and constitutional drafting;
  • judicial training aimed at capacity building and harmonizing policy reform;
  • cooperative integration of investigative and judicial responsibilities;
  • updated manuals and training materials for judicial bodies;
  • construction of judicial facilities;
  • access to justice for women; and
  • impact and strategy assessments of ROL programs.

Our Security and Justice efforts also focus on improvement and refinement of the organizational, procedural, and substantive laws and regulations. With an extensive network of legal and legislative experts, we are well positioned to aid in the improvement of outdated and inadequate legal frameworks, tailoring them for the country’s unique circumstances.

Equally as important as providing the legal framework for ROL is our work with the broad array of justice sector institutions and their civil society counterparts. We have worked with judiciary bodies, prosecutorial bodies, investigators and other policing bodies, public defenders, private bar institutions, and civil society advocacy groups to promote cooperative integration of investigative and judicial responsibilities, even and sustainable institutional development, transparency, and accountability. We have also built and improved the foundations for many court administrative systems.
