Gregg Rapaport, technical director for strategic communications, brings calculated and creative approaches to informing, educating and persuading target audiences to achieve clients’ strategic objectives. With 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors, he has developed a results-framework methodology to underpin communications strategies, and draws upon his deep knowledge of advertising, marketing, media relations, public affairs and event planning and management to design tactical plans. A leader in the field of international development communications, he has previously served as expert communications advisor to USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning; senior program manager of USAID’s Development Outreach and Communications program (during which time he introduced the results framework for strategic communications planning, execution, and M&E now adopted across 70 missions); and communications consultant to the World Bank. Gregg has also taught at Georgetown University’s graduate program in public relations and corporate communications.
