MSI Leads Discussion on Development Storytelling
Faced with the ever-changing nature of international development storytelling, including advanced innovations and misinformation campaigns, MSI recently convened a group of key communications experts.
On June 28, 2018, we convened the Strategic Communications Forum, the first event of its kind intended specifically for global development communicators. The three panels focused on the landscape of development storytelling and its future, resources and tools available to communicators, and disinformation campaigns and how they affect our work.
MSI’s Gregg Rapaport, Noah Wilderman, and Ellen Yount moderated the panels. The speakers represented a wide swath of the development communications community, including USAID’s Global Development Lab, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy, Instagram, BlueDot Strategies, ECOMM Ukraine, Naftogaz Ukraine, IREX and The German Marshall Fund.
The Forum is the first in a series of communications events highlighting our commitment to embedding strategic communications within its projects and on behalf of clients through creative presentations, trainings and partnerships with government officials, donors and projects worldwide.
