MSI Recognized for Excellence and Achievement by Tetra Tech

MSI, a Tetra Tech Company, is pleased to announce that we have been awarded Tetra Tech’s 2020 Excellence and Achievement Award for Marketing and Business Development for our successful effort to capture the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation (AME) contract. This prestigious annual award highlights the efforts of one winner from Tetra Tech’s 42 operating units.

In February 2020, DoD awarded MSI a $300 million, multiple-award contract to provide AME services to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OSD-P) Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). We were also awarded the first task order, under which we provide subject matter experts to support Geographic Combatant Commands (like the Indo-Pacific Command or INDOPACOM) in developing logical frameworks, theories of change and performance indicators to better assess, monitor and evaluate our partnering and capacity building engagement with critical U.S. allies around the world. Learn more about the project and our recent virtual training efforts.

The Excellence and Achievement Award recognizes MSI’s multi-year effort to understand and engage new clients OSD-P and DSCA, recruit the right personnel, build relationships with new partners and translate our decades-long AME experience to DoD. MSI is a leading provider of monitoring and evaluation services worldwide. We currently manage 14 monitoring and evaluation platforms for USAID Missions worldwide, including for the E3 Bureau based in Washington, D.C. and the Middle East and North Africa Bureau, and conduct evaluations of ongoing and future compact and threshold programs for the Millennium Challenge Corporation. We have also conducted third-party monitoring for the World Bank’s Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund.

“The M&E expertise we built over thirty years with USAID is badly needed by offices, projects and agencies across the government. Who better to help build a new culture of data-driven project design than MSI?” said Andy Griminger, MSI Executive Vice President. We are honored to receive this award and equally honored to be working alongside DoD to implement this effort. Congratulations to the full AME capture and bid team!
