Andrew Griminger

Expertise:

Andrew Griminger is MSI’s third President, taking the leadership role in April 2022. For the previous seven years, he served as the firm’s Executive Vice President, working closely on major growth initiatives, and leading MSI’s business in new and existing markets. During his seventeen years with MSI, he has also overseen the company’s global operations and guided corporate strategy as a member of the executive management team.

He is a governance specialist who has led major projects on national level institution building and organizational development, including MSI’s $500 million public administration reform project in Iraq. Andy spent 12 years in the Middle East, and has been involved in programs in the region for nearly 30 years. He worked for the U.S. government, as USAID’s technical director for the $4 billion Iraq portfolio in 2003-2004 and previously managed U.S. Department of Defense bilateral weapons programs, focusing on the Arabian Gulf. His career has taken him from Iraq, Libya, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen to Zimbabwe and Indonesia. Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in Russian studies from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. He speaks Arabic and German.
