Senior Project Manager
Diego Velazquez is an operations and program specialist with cross-sectoral experience working with U.S. government implementing agencies on program and financial management and project implementation. As a senior project manager, he currently provides support to MSI’s 4-year, $64 million-dollar small grants program in Colombia funded by USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI). He works closely with field and HQ teams on the daily management of field operations including grants, procurement, personnel, compliance, administration and finance. He has supported operations for MSI’s programs in Latin America, sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia, previously working on programs in Kenya, South Sudan and Vietnam. He holds a master’s degree in international commerce and policy from George Mason University, and is fluent in Spanish.
