Nils Taxell

Expertise:

Nils Taxell is a senior technical director in MSI’s Rule of Law and Government Accountability Practice Area and learning advisor on USAID’s Countering Transnational Corruption Grand Challenge for Development. He has 20 years of experience as a development practitioner focusing on anti-corruption, civil society engagement, good governance and program management, including in fragile and conflict affected states. Nils has successfully designed, managed and delivered numerous anti-corruption, governance and capacity development programs/projects, including in Afghanistan, Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda and Ukraine. He spent five years at the U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre focusing on the UN Convention Against Corruption, civic engagement, donor coordination and gender and corruption. In addition, Nils has provided technical assistance across Africa, Asia, and Eastern and Southeastern Europe for BBC Media Action, Danida, European Commission, GIZ, Mercy Corps and Transparency International. Nils holds a Master of Social Science from Uppsala University.
