Perin Arkun is a senior project manager with over 15 years of experience in international development, designing, implementing and providing oversight for USG-funded (USAID and DOS) programs and projects in post-conflict/fragile settings. Currently, she provides overall project management and technical support for the Governance Integration for Stabilization and Resilience in MENA (GISR MENA) project at MSI. She also supports the Countering Violent Extremism Analytic Services for Asia task order. To date, Perin has worked primarily in democracy, human rights, governance, elections, rule of law, civil society strengthening and stabilization, focusing on the MENA region. She also has extensive field experience acquired across the MENA region, including Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia and Libya, as well as in Ghana, Nepal, Ethiopia, and Bosnia. Perin holds a Ph.D. in international politics and human rights from the Joseph Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver and an MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics. She is bilingual in English and Turkish, with basic Arabic skills.
