Valerie Richard has extensive experience designing and implementing projects in conflict areas, particularly third party monitoring. Her experience covers many sectors, including health, humanitarian assistance, infrastructure, agriculture and economic growth. Valerie has supported monitoring projects in Afghanistan and Sudan, and has worked with clients such as the World Bank and USAID, including its Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. Valerie acted as chief of party for MSI’s Monitoring Support Project in Afghanistan, in addition to serving in various other technical roles within MSI. Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Mary Washington University and a master’s degree in international business administration from the Darla Moore School at The University of South Carolina.
